With the recent news of racial bias among NBA referees, there’s been a lot of debate over whether implicit bias exists or matters.  TrueHoop has a good post of the whole thing and a link to Project Implicit.  Check it out.  Not sure how robust and  accurate these things are, but it’s pretty interesting.  I took the native american test.   proud to say that the test found I slightly associate native americans as american and white americans as foreign than the other way around (although this could be more due to my typing efficiency as opposed to actual bias).  It was pretty alarming (although maybe not surprising) to learn than 21% of testakers automatically associated white americans as american and native americans as foreign.  It’s hard to rig because they factor your response time into the whole thing.  Anyway, interesting stuff.
