We intercept international phone calls between suspected terrorists; the U.K. doesn’t–or not enough of them, anyway. Their subway was bombed; ours haven’t been. To the NSA, I say: Keep up the good work.

This is the best you can come up with? God hinderaker, could you at least pretend to be anything but a shill? The NSA is wiretapping all kinds of people without a warrent. It is trying to build a database containing all of the phone records of everyone. AND we haven’t had any subway bombings. Therefore the NSA plan was good.

What he said

The poor man says a right sort of thing.

Whaa…?

This is so disturbing. I suspect the fact that pluralities of americans believe the world was created in six days and that the fossil record does not support evolution is a result of the chilling effect that christofacist lobbying has had on science education. Teachers don’t want to touch the evolution issue. Man, this country is so backward sometimes.

Stephen Colbert

You know, I would care about being respectful, if I thought it mattered anymore. I don’t understand why the inside the beltway crowd thinks that all the old gentleman’s agreements are still in place. They aren’t. The republicans and their media machine are playing for keeps, and we need to as well. No self respecting republican pulls any punches in the name of decorum. And we ought not to either.
